Understanding New Paradigms for “Environmental Flows” and Water Allocation in the Middle Rio Grande River Basin in a Changing Climate

Webinars: June 5, 2019 – Implications of Future Climate Scenarios for Water Availability in the Middle Rio Grande Basin by Ali Mirchi, Oklahoma State University

Mapping Conservation Management Efforts to Increase Coordination in the Rio Grande Basin

Webinars:

Assessing Climate Variability and Adaptation Strategies for the Rio Grande Basin

Webinars: May 12, 2022 –Dr. Sandoval introduces the natural and regulated flow regime of the Rio Grande Rio Bravo; Explores periods of drought and water abundance; Describes how the regulated system is currently in a sustained drought; and presents some potential strategies and solutions for improving the water resources management in the basin.

The Effects of Wildfire on Snow Water Resources under Multiple Climate Conditions

Webinars: April 21, 2022 –Dr. David Moeser is a Hydrologist at the USGS New Mexico Water Science Center. Through funding from the South Central Climate Adaptation Science Center, Dr. Moeser developed and implemented novel characterizations of forest canopy as well as snow modeling tools in order to quantify the effects of canopy disturbance on snow water resources.

Wildfire Probability Mapping Based on Regional Soil Moisture Models

Webinars: July 7, 2022 – Wildfire Probability Mapping Based on Regional Soil Moisture Models by Dr. Matt Levi.

Other webinars of interest to New Mexico:
