SUMMARY:3 Minute Thesis Competition
DESCRIPTION:We would like to extend our congratulations to Paulina Ćwik\, for being selected to the University of Oklahoma’s Three Minute Thesis final competition!\nDuring her presentation\, she will discuss her thesis pertaining to the recognition and description of large-scale atmospheric patterns associated with tornado outbreak occurrences. Identification of those patterns requires analysis of atmospheric fields\, such as geopotential heights\, temperatures or precipitation that occurs during or shortly before the biggest historic outbreaks. The idea is to find patterns that occurred most often and describe them so this knowledge can be used in future tornado outbreak prediction efforts.
